Course Introduction Setup: Custom Mode

The course introduction is the information displayed when students access the course details page. Administrators can configure this information in the course introduction section. The configuration options for the course introduction are divided into two modes: default mode and custom mode, and you can choose one of them.

  • This manual provides a guide for 'Course Introduction Configuration: Custom Mode'.

  • You can enter the course introduction section and configure the information by selecting either 'Default Mode' or 'Custom Mode' using the button in the upper right corner.

  • The content sections available for input in 'Custom Mode' are classified as follows:

    • Default Sections

      • Course Introduction Cover: You can upload a representative image to promote the course.

      • Promotion Information: You can set how to display promotional information.

      • Ad Banner: You can upload a small ad banner image to be displayed on the course details page.

    • Custom Sections

      • 'Custom Sections' allow for more freedom in section order changes, section hide/show settings, and deletions compared to 'Default Sections'. (You can add up to 30 custom sections using the 'Add Section' button.)

        • Text Card: You can enter course promotion information in text card format.

        • Markdown Editor: You can enter course promotion information using the markdown editor.

        • Profile Card: You can enter course promotion information in profile card format.

        • Image Box: You can upload auxiliary images for course promotion.

        • Course Objectives: You can write information about course objectives.

        • Student Reviews: You can write ratings and reviews from students about the course.

        • Video: You can upload a video URL for course promotion.

        • Curriculum: You can upload the course curriculum.

        • FAQ: You can write FAQs.

Course Introduction Cover

  1. Go to the course settings > course introduction menu.

  2. Insert the image file to be used as the course introduction cover. (If you do not upload a course introduction cover, you can specify a background color as a substitute.)

  3. You can set the colors for the course name and one-line course introduction that will be shown along with the course introduction cover.

    1. The information for the course name and one-line course introduction can be entered/modified in the course settings > basic information.

  • The entered values will be displayed on the course details page as follows:

Inputting Detailed Course Information by Section

General information about custom sections

  1. You can set the visibility of each custom section to public or private.

1-1. If it is set to public, the information for that section will be displayed on the course details page. If it is set to private, it will not be displayed.

  1. You can set whether to use an anchor for each custom section.

2-1. After enabling the use of an anchor and entering an anchor name, the entered anchor name will appear as a button for moving to the auxiliary section within the course details page.

  1. You can set the 'content arrangement' for each custom section.

Text Card

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the text card section.

  2. Enter the 'title' and 'description' for the text card content. To add additional input fields, click the ⊕ button and add more fields.

Markdown Editor

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the markdown editor section.

  2. Use the markdown editor to freely configure the information you want to display in that section.

Profile Card

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the profile card section.

  2. Select the 'profile image' for the profile card content, and enter the 'title' and 'description'. To add additional input fields, click the ⊕ button and add more fields.

Image Box

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the image box section.

  2. Upload the 'image' to be included in the image box content, and enter the 'title', 'description', and 'image description'. To add additional input fields, click the ⊕ button and add more fields.

Course Objectives

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the course objectives section.

  2. Enter the 'course objectives' to be included in the section. To add additional input fields, click the ⊕ button and add more fields.

Student Reviews

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the student reviews section.

  2. Enter the rating for the 'student reviews'. The rating can only be a number from 0 to 5, and it will be displayed as stars on the course details page.

  3. Select the 'image' for the student reviews, and enter the 'title' and 'description'. To add additional input fields, click the ⊕ button and add more fields.

Video

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the video section.

  2. Enter the 'YouTube URL' and 'video description' in the video upload area. To add additional input fields, click the ⊕ button and add more fields.

Curriculum

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the curriculum section.

  2. Upload the curriculum file in PDF format.

FAQ

  1. Enter the 'section name' and 'section description' for the FAQ section.

  2. Enter the 'question' and 'answer' for the question and answer input. To add additional input fields, click the ⊕ button and add more fields.

Preview Function

  1. In the Course Introduction Configuration: Promotion Mode, a 'Preview' function is provided for the content being edited.

  2. Click the 'Preview' button in the right menu box to switch to preview mode.

3. In preview mode, you can click the 'Return to Edit Mode' button to return to edit mode.
